Hoping to distract Wendy from her stories with a project, her parents provide Wendy with a teacup terrier, who she names Snowball, in order to keep up with current trends. Meanwhile, Wendy, feeling rejected by Peter and growing tired of her mundane life, dreams about Captain Hook, seeking comfort from him and sobbing, while telling Hook that she still had Peter Pan's shadow. However, as Tinkerbell had assured him that his shadow was not in London, Peter Pan never returned.
